Dear Readers,
The secret doorway in the wall indicated by the telescope led to a room with signs detailing the war of humans and monsters.
It asked why humans attacked as they didn't have anything to lose, since they were unbelievably strong. It would take the soul of nearly every monster just to equal the power of a single human soul. Humans had an ironic weakness though and it was the strength of their soul, which lives on after the body dies. If a monster defeated a human, they could take its soul and become a horrible beast with unfathomable power. The last detail was just an illustration of a strange creature. It wasn't shown, but it was described as being very unsettling.
After this I stepped on a raft, which took me across some of the swampland to another pier. The music stopped.
