Dear Readers,
Stage 1-A, called "Puzzle Crates", is the first puzzle platform stage and costs a few of the salmon coins I collected to play. It also uses the Wii U GamePad as well as regular platforming, so that means Log Games put in a decent bit of effort to make use of the hardware. Nice one :)
I don't normally like using the TV to play Wii U games, but I had to for this stage. I guess if this game were to be adapted for the Switch or something, the colour buttons would be on the other screen.
The colour buttons on the GamePad move the shipping containers around. Then you can platform around regularly as Dumpster Bear. I like to imagine working in a shipping yard and seeing a real bear out the window from the safety of a control room. I would then use the controls to move the containers around to guide the bear back out or towards his salmon or whatever!
The first 2 red salmon coins are straightforward to find and the pathfinding puzzling is easy to get into. The third one however is hidden just above one of the last blue containers. You have to stand on it to get the camera to pan up there to reveal it.
