Dear Readers,
Stage 1-5 is known as "Bees, Bears, and Bombs". Here we find giant bees, which are like the zingers from Donkey Kong Country.
It's another lovely daytime stage. The usual music has added instrumentation, so there are a few more guitar riffs in there. Nice way to keep things fresh :)
Here I got to try out a power up! Dumpster Bear puts on a war combat helmet and has the ability to throw bombs. It's the only way to defeat the giant bees and some blocks need blowing up too, but not all of them!
The first red salmon coin is just before the checkpoint. Don't blow up the rock on the shipping crate as you'll need it to reach the top crate where you can find the coin.
As a general rule, don't blow up rocks until you climb on top of them to see what may be hiding nearby. The second red salmon coin on a rail can be found this way too.
Generally stick to the high road as much as possible. Most regular salmon coins as well as the last red one are found this way.
At one point when I couldn't make a jump, I pressed the ZR button, as if I was trying to do a mid-air twirl like in New Super Mario Bros U! That felt pretty weird!
I went back to this stage as I only scored 41 points in the target finish. Got 100 now :)
