19 radiant historia - defeating the mine invaders and raynie's fear of cave-ins

Dear Readers,

Still looking for an opportunity for sword dancing, I continued this path with Rosch to face the enemy in the mine.

We found the Granorg soldiers. Their explosives caused the cave-in. We decided to separate briefly from Rosch and Kiel so they could attack with explosives before we could get the jump in to attack them.

Battle time! This time the battle music changed and we were now facing 7 enemies in battle! 3 Granorg Spies with crossbows in the back and four Lite Granorgites in front. They were all weak to poison. I got to view a tutorial about Support Skills too. They're just random attacks that party members on standby do, which is nice!

After defeating them, our brigade got through the blocked tunnel and caught up with us. Rosch thought twice about his orders to seal up the entrance on the enemy's side, but he decided to carry out his orders anyway.

Everyone was very happy the mission was a very quick success without a single casualty. Rosch vowed to train his recruits extremely hard when they got home. I went home too, but Raynie and Marco wanted to stay awhile and rest. Marco brought up her issues with the mine, but she still didn't want to talk about it.

I met with them again back home and that's where they opened up about the cave-in they experienced when they were part of their mercenary troop. A monster caused it and wiped out their whole troop apart from them. After that, they joined the Special Intelligence.

Raynie then revealed that it seemed to her that the monster caused the cave-in deliberately by going for a support beam instead of them. Marco didn't believe her since it was just a dumb monster and he was tired of her insisting on it.

After this, I returned to Historia.
