Dear Readers,
4-4 is the giant screw building of this area. It's also another Jet Mode shmup/stg stage.
The first Code Cube is heavily guarded by those laser cannons on the upper side. Clear them all out to obtain it safely.
To collect the second Code Cube you have to follow the directions on the map that tell which paths to take. I found this a bit confusing, which is why I had to play through this stage more than once. Take the bottom path, then the top, then the middle to avoid going into the background. Consider the paths with circles as ones to avoid. Code Cube is up ahead if you get it right.
It feels good to be able to destroy those electronic orbs that gave me trouble on a previous screw stage :)
When you see the rare sticker in the background, shoot the switch that's above. It'll open up the way to it.
Third Code Cube can be unblocked by using a charged up shot on the bomb block before it.
Up ahead you'll face the boss C.O.G.S. again. Keep shooting and dodging and it'll eventually be destroyed, but it'll reveal Core Kabula! Nice twist! :) the music here is its own version of the power-up theme from Kirby's Dream Land. Whittle it down with missiles, remember that you can shoot a charged shot backwards and keep dodging and you'll take it down eventually.
