585 zelda breath of the wild - sacred ground ruins korok

Dear Readers,

From the last post I headed northeast to the next stop, the Sacred Ground Ruins. I was here before but I didn't get the Korok seed so I came back. I was attacked by the same Guardian as before but I'm much more confident in dealing with it now. Three shield deflects and it was gone.

The Korok itself was on the northeastern pillar, under a stone. I uncovered it for another seed.

584 zelda breath of the wild - tree balloon in passeri greenbelt

Dear Readers,

From the last post I headed east towards another wooded area. I found one of the Korok seeds that were here but I came back to find the other one. I thought it might be another apple tree matching puzzle but it wasn't, thankfully. Up in one of the thicker trees was a balloon and I struck it with my double axe for another Korok seed.

Also I was attacked by Stalkoblins on the way here but they were easy enough to handle.

583 zelda breath of the wild - tree hollow in west woods of passeri greenbelt

Dear Readers,

I hung around in the same bit of woods as last time because there was another Korok seed to find. I found it in a hollow of one of the bigger trees in this patch of woods.

582 zelda breath of the wild - korok sprite in west woods of passeri greenbelt

Dear Readers,

From the last post I headed northeast to a small patch of woods. It was dark, it was rainy, but it was peaceful, thankfully. When I got there I heard a Korok fairy flitting around the ground and caught up to it for another seed.

581 zelda breath of the wild - flagpole north of central tower

Dear Readers,

Northwest from the last post was a big flagpole. All I had to do was run up to it and climb to the top for another Korok seed.

Well... that wasn't all I had to do as I had to deal with Stalkoblins and Guardians targeting me again. I managed it handy enough though.

580 zelda breath of the wild - rocky patch north of central tower

Dear Readers,

I warped to the Central Tower and flew northeast from it. Just north of this tower was a patch of trees and on the edge of that was a rocky patch. In the middle of that was a stone with a Korok underneath. Very unsafe place as you get targeted almost immediately by Guardians when you glide from the tower.

579 zelda breath of the wild - golfing badly at boneyard bridge

Dear Readers,

I followed the river further north from last time until I got to Boneyard Bridge. There were many stones and a circle of stones in the rapidly flowing river.

I tried golfing stones into the circle but I just kept missing and my "clubs" kept breaking so it was hard to come up with good practised strategy. I ran out of stones and I got attacked by another Yiga. I was getting fed up.

I spotted a raft across the river and I eventually decided to swim across for that. It wasn't easy but I managed to lodge it in place at the circle of stones in the water. After that I picked up a stone that respawned and threw it onto the raft. Then I quickly hopped onto the raft and tossed it into the circle of stones to make the Korok appear.

Whew! That was a hard-earned seed!

578 zelda breath of the wild - acorn hanging from orsedd bridge

Dear Readers,

I followed the river north from the last post and got to Orsedd Bridge. I found a Korok in the acorn hanging from the bridge. All I had to do was shoot it. I was attacked by a big Yiga along the way but I decided to ignore him. I could also hear a Hinox sleeping nearby and I didn't want to wake that creature.

577 zelda breath of the wild - the korok of applean forest

Dear Readers,

I went northwest from Rebonae Bridge to this forest, which had many apple trees. I knew there was a Korok here so I carefully searched around the place. By sheer luck I found a group of three trees that looked the same but one of them had a different pattern of apples growing in its branches. I picked some to make it match the other trees and out popped a Korok to give me another seed. I was glad to get it right because it was nicely placed among the other apple trees!

576 zelda breath of the wild - under rebonae bridge

Dear Readers,

I headed to Rebonae Bridge to collect the Korok seed. It was under bridge, on the bank under the stone. I did a bunch of other stuff too like beat up a Bokoblin and a Yiga and get a nice reward from a nice lady.

575 zelda breath of the wild - golfing near benny's mound and rebonae bridge

Dear Readers,

From the mound in the last post I headed further east to an even bigger mound. There was no Korok seed here, but I climbed anyway to find a friendly camper named Benny. Benny shared her food with me and she had a cooking pot as well. She was nice. I may have been here before but I don't remember.

The Korok seed I was looking for was south of here around the shorter of two pillars. There were three boulders in grooves surrounding it and one empty groove. The missing boulder was on top of the pillar. I knocked it off with Stasis but hit it too hard and it went too far. Then I had to knock it back, though my shots were still a bit too powerful.

Suddenly I was interrupted by a big Yiga. I spent a while dealing with him, throwing weak weapons at his face. I eventually beat him up and took his bananas.

Then it was back to my boulder golfing. I finally found a use for my spring-loaded hammer and used it as a putter, helping me to make tiny shots so I could finally get the boulder into the groove, earning me another Korok seed.

After all that was done I headed back to Benny on the mound and spent the night there, eating cooked bananas and waiting for Daruk's Protection to recharge. It rained at one point and the only shelter was this huge slanted rock. We crouched under it while waiting for the rain to pass.

574 zelda breath of the wild - mound south of mabe prairie

Dear Readers,

From the Korok seed in last post I headed directly east, past the crossroads and through some trees. I was looking for a mound. When I looked around I saw a Guardian scuttling around south of here. I decided not to bother with it and stayed out of range. I got to the mound and climbed it to find a stone with a Korok seed underneath.

573 zelda breath of the wild - mound northwest of ranch ruins

Dear Readers,

Northwest of the troublesome Ranch Ruins was a big stony mound. On top of this mound there was nothing to bother me at all except for a couple of Stalkoblins during the night, which was nice after what I had to deal with at the Ranch Ruins in the last post. I found the Korok here under a lone stone and waited the night out with it in peace while waiting for Daruk's Protection to recharge.

572 zelda breath of the wild - the dangerous ranch ruins

Dear Readers,

I had to go to the Ranch Ruins for my next Korok seed. There was a guardian and a couple of silver Bokoblins on horseback. I was able for the guardian but the Bokoblins were very annoying. I just had to get them out of the way first. I got rid of one of them and then made the other fall off its horse. They were both archers thankfully. I left the second one alive and it stayed at a safe distance. I wish I could've been stealthy but a Yiga had to interrupt me as well. Bleh.

The puzzle was walking over groups of sprouts in ascending order, going from 1 to 5. I then got my hard earned Korok seed.

571 zelda breath of the wild - wilderness east of hyrule garrison ruins

Dear Readers,

From Hyrule Garrison Ruins I hiked east, going off-road where the road forks so I could follow the faint trail of trees. It wasn't absolutely clear but there was a Korok near one of them.

Along the way I had to smash another Guardian, adding to the two I smashed last time.

Eventually I could hear the familiar jingling and rattling of a Korok sprite. It wasn't the easiest to see but it was sparkly enough to be noticeable. I used my ears as well and got closer and closer until I was able to catch it for another seed.

570 zelda breath of the wild - smashing the guardians at hyrule garrison ruins

Dear Readers,

I was in fairly bad shape so I decided to warp to Korok Forest to cash in a good chunk of my seeds for extra inventory space and to get some sleep. I ran out of bow space upgrades. It's only the shield space upgrades I can do now.

After a nice sleep I warped back to the shrine near Windvane Meadow and marched straight northeast along the road to Hyrule Garrison Ruins. Miraculously I didn't meet any Yiga but I had to deal with at least two guardians and a Bokoblin on horseback. I just did some shield deflects and won the confrontations handily.

With things quietened down, I explored what little there was of the Hyrule Garrison Ruins. I found the Korok on top of the flagpole.

569 zelda breath of the wild - nice metal puzzle south of sage ruins

Dear Readers,

I headed south from the last post while being chased by Stalkoblins. I beat up the ones that came after me and continued to a bank on the river with a metal puzzle on it. The metal block was in the river.

I defeated an Octorok with its own rocks and got surprised by a straggler Stalkoblin that followed me all the way here from the ruins. I defeated this one as well. It wasn't much trouble.

Now that I had some peace and quiet I finished the metal puzzle here on the beach/bank of the river.

568 zelda breath of the wild - sage temple ruins korok

Dear Readers,

From the last post I headed west into the Sage Temple Ruins. I wonder what temple from Hyrule's history they were referring to? A temple on the west side of Hyrule Field? Right now it was all ruins and rubble and just flooded.

I had some annoying trouble with a Silver Lizalfos that fired shock arrows at me. I whacked it all over the temple, which took a while, until I beat it. It took a good chunk of health from me as well but I was ok.

It took me a while but I found the Korok under a stone on top of a wall near a ruined wagon. I then got the heck out of there.

567 zelda breath of the wild - chasing through the giant's forest

Dear Readers,

I headed north from the Ancient Tree Stump into the Giant's Forest. I guess the giant they were referring to was the Hinox that was sleeping here. Luckily I didn't have to go near it to get the Korok seed. I was attacked by a Yiga though. After clobbering him I found a chaser sprout on a tree stump and chased it through some trees to get the Korok seed.

566 zelda breath of the wild - exploring the ancient tree stump

Dear Readers,

North of Mount Daphnes was an area called the Ancient Tree Stump. It's simply a huge tall tree stump surrounded by water with a narrow bridge leading to it. It's a fun place to explore, though it is crawling with enemies. At least they're not that strong to me at this point in time, just some Blue Bokoblins and Moblins with some Lizalfos way down below in the water.

I whacked the blue Bokoblin guard on the bridge and crushed the other two enemies on the actual stump itself. There were some random weapons and trash here, including a great flameblade. Other than that and its natural aesthetic, there really wasn't much to this place at all. The Korok seed I was looking for wasn't even here! It was way down in the water. I only had to dive into a circle of flowers to get it.

There's possibly some interesting lore to this place though I've no idea what it could be. Maybe it was a great deku tree once?

565 zelda breath of the wild - well north of gleeok bridge

Dear Readers,

I headed north from Gleeok Bridge and found some ruins of a very small patch of housing. There was a well here with a Korok under a stone in it. It feels like a very empty place here. It feels like it was mostly here for the early game where you start exploring a lot.

One strange thing about this area is that there's a bridge but there's no road connected to it. It really feels like a disused or abandoned place.

564 zelda breath of the wild - gleeok bridge woods

Dear Readers,

I took a hike towards Gleeok Bridge. There was a patch of trees near there and in the biggest one was a hole with an acorn inside. I shot it with an arrow for another Korok to appear. I picked up the arrow afterwards. Those are scarce!

563 zelda breath of the wild - south aquame bridge korok

Dear Readers,

This Korok was a bit easier to find than the last one. It was hanging from the bridge inside a nut. I shot it with an arrow using the midair bullet time ability. I landed in the water one seed richer.

562 zelda breath of the wild - north aquame bridge korok

Dear Readers,

Neither of the Koroks on this bridge were on the actual bridge. The one near the north end was on the cliff below it under a stone. The stone almost completely blends in to the cliff so I had to find it with Stasis. Another seed for me.

561 zelda breath of the wild - circle of stones towards aquame bridge

Dear Readers,

From the last post I headed back west towards Aquame Bridge. I was immediately attacked by another Yiga. I don't wanna come back here. Exploring sucks now.

Anyway I found a circle of stones while I was being attacked and there was a loose one nearby. I completed the circle for another Korok seed.
