Dear Readers,

From the stream with the ring of flowers in the last post, I had to jump off the east ledge to go down even further to the road below, which had the entrance to the east passage.

Along this passage were some lumps of ice. I had to melt the largest one to reveal a Korok for another seed.

When I finished here I continued through the passage, dodging the Stone Talus and hurried up into the library, shooting the goopy eye thing. I backtracked through the library and all the way back to where I was near the second gatehouse. I'll continue from there next time. Glad to get that much out of the way at least.

Dear Readers,

I was looking for a Korok in the east passage of Hyrule Castle, which meant I had to go all the way northeast, having to deal with annoying Guardians along the way. I tried to go in through the library, but it was blocked because of those goopy eye things blocking it from the other side. It was very annoying.

Anyway, on the way there I found a stream with a ring of flowers on it below a waterfall. I dived in for another Korok Seed.

Dear Readers,

The road after the second gatehouse is horrible and full of Guardians on either side of it. I had to go here to find the next Korok seed and I had to deal with so many of them, including the flying ones that take ages to destroy. I had trouble timing deflections on some of them too and I ended up having to use Mipha's Grace and everything. I fell off of cliffs and everything. It was not a good time.

Anyway, on one of the walls on the east side of this road was a stone with a Korok underneath.

Dear Readers,

I climbed back down to the entrance to the dining hall. I went in and straight through the door ahead into a hallway. I used my guide to navigate my way to a room with a statue in it. It also had a Korok hiding in an acorn that was hanging from the ceiling. The guide I was using said I had to bomb a wall but it was already bombed? Maybe I already did that on previous excursions to the castle.

From the last post I used Revali's Gale to get back up to where I was and climb up to the top of the second gatehouse. On the spire here was another Korok waiting to be found. I got revenge on a Guardian that zapped me earlier too.

Dear Readers,

From the last post I headed northeast towards the entrance to the dining hall. From the waterfall nearby I had to drop down to a ledge that had a clump of bombable rocks on it. Under them was a stone with a Korok under that. It was a very murky area and I would never have come down here otherwise. I relied totally on the guide I was using. I got zapped several times by Guardians and I had to recharge both Revali's Gale and Daruk's Protection.

Dear Readers,

I had to stay in the area with the two pinwheels from the previous two posts in order to find the next seed. I had to look it up again and it turns out that I had to shoot the coat of arms that's part of the balcony. It was very annoying because it just looks so unremarkable and I'd easily miss it. Anyway, I shot it for another Korok seed.

It's also getting harder to come up with title names for these posts. There are a lot of seeds in Hyrule Castle

Dear Readers,

I climbed back down from the last pinwheel to find another on a balcony. I had trouble looking for the balloon so I had to look it up. It turns out the balloon is in the distance to the south, hovering above another part of the castle structure. I shot a few arrows into the air above the balloon so I could reach it eventually, earning me another Korok seed.

Dear Readers,

I headed through the front gate of Hyrule Castle and ran up the road until I got to the point where it turns to the left. Then I climbed up until I reached the top of of this part of the castle. There was a pinwheel up here and I had to shoot a couple of balloons that went back and forth behind some goop. I also had to smash a decayed Guardian on the way up here. I finished the pinwheel archery challenge for a Korok seed.

Dear Readers,

The last Korok seed at the front gate of Hyrule Castle was on top of the gate itself, under a stone. I was delighted to finally get it. After all the Guardians I had to deal with, including two that spotted me while I was climbing on the gate itself, I made sure to bop the Korok on the head with its own stone.

The next Korok seeds at Hyrule Castle front gate was under the bridge in a tiny nook that seemed custom made to hold the acorn that was inside it. I shot it for another seed. Seeing that little nook made me annoyed. I would've preferred it if the acorn was hanging from the bridge instead.

Dear Readers,

I have over 500 Korok seeds now! It's now time for me to look for the ones in Hyrule Castle!

Things did not start well. The moment I tried to run through Castle Town Ruins, I was targeted by two Guardians and Stalmoblins sprouted and Yiga started laughing... it was too much at once. I reloaded my save and took care of them one by one, inching towards the front gate of Hyrule Castle.

While there I was attacked by the flying Guardian, which takes longer to smash than the regular ones with shield deflects. It took ages and it went out of range now and again, which was annoying but I finally smashed it for a bit of peace and quiet.

There were three Korok seeds around the front gate. The first one I did involved having to go under the bridge for the sprout and chase it by climbing along the bridge until I got the seed. I'm glad I finally got it over and done with. It also reveals a nice way to get inside without having to open the gate. I'll mention the other two seeds over the next two posts.

From the last post I headed south and climbed to the top of the dome that had the shrine. Up here I found a stone with a Korok underneath for another seed.

Dear Readers,

From the last post I hiked over to the west side of the island. I checked out the summit of the hill as well but there was a Stone Talus here. I didn't bother with it.

On the west part of the island was a pinwheel and a tree stump. I had to shoot an arrow at one target that was jumping out of the trees in the distance. It took a few tries but I got it and earned another Korok seed.

From the Castle Town Prison Ruins I continued north along the road to the very end, where there was a metal puzzle partially submerged. All I had to do was move the metal block with Magnesis to make things symmetrical. It wasn't too difficult at all thankfully. I got another Korok seed.

From the last post I headed north to the Castle Town Prison Ruins. I had to deal with a Guardian along the way and I smashed it up by deflecting its lasers. There were flying ones as well but none of them spotted me.

I continued and came across three offering statues. In two of them were rusty shields, which made me groan at the thought of trying to find a third one. Luckily I was able to find one with Magnesis at some ruins to the southeast. This place doesn't really show any obvious signs that it was a prison. There are some walls but it doesn't seem any way recognisable as a prison. Anyway I placed the third shield for another Korok Seed. Then I took all the shields. I'll need them for all the Guardians.

I headed north from the last post to the Moat Bridge. There in the water was a circle of flowers. I dived into it for another Korok seed.

Dear Readers,

From the last post I saw a slab suspended on a one of the Castle Town wall structures. I thought surely there must be a Korok seed underneath, so I knocked it away with Stasis. It turned out to be only a treasure chest with shock arrows inside it instead. Then I noticed a swirl shape of stones with a gap in the very centre.

I used Stasis to find the missing stone, which was on the far end of the wall structure and placed it in the swirl for another Korok seed. I also fought some big Chuchus that were here.

From the last post I found some cracked rocks on the slopes of the unnamed mountain I was on. Under a pile to the northwest of the last Korok seed I obtained was another stone with a Korok underneath. The pile of stones that didn't have a Korok underneath had rare materials to mine instead.

North of the Quarry Ruins is a mountain with no freaking name for some reason. At the summit was a circle of stones. I searched around with Stasis and found the missing stone on one of the slopes. I completed the circle for another Korok seed.

I headed west from the last post deeper into the Quarry Ruins. I tried to imagine excavations of materials when they were building Hyrule Castle and Castle Town. It was largely peaceful and hilly. On one random hill I found a Korok that was hiding under a stone.

Dear Readers,

I decided to explore more of the Quarry Ruins west of Castle Town Ruins. Directly north of the shrine here was a gate with an interior and lookout. I guess it was part of the wall around Castle Town? I didn't look properly and there was a lot of overgrowth.

One of the trees near the lookout had a balloon floating in its branches. After smacking away some noisy Keese I shot it for another Korok seed.

On the east bank of Carok Bridge and further to the north is a sandy corner of the river. On there is a Korok platform. I stood there and it set off a racing challenge to reach the big rock on the west side of Carok Bridge.

I had to do a good bit of sprinting up the hill but I had more than enough stamina and time. I reached the rock handily, even with the Stalkoblin and Stalmoblin enemies chasing after me. I got my Korok seed prize.

I'm still at Carok Bridge. It follows a pattern from many bridges where there was a nut hanging from the bridge. All I had to do was shoot it while suspended in mid-air for another Korok seed.

From the last post I followed the road west to Carok Bridge. It rained. Just before the bridge was a mound with a stone on top of it. Under the stone was a Korok with another seed for me. No trouble this time thankfully, considering it's such a dangerous place!

From the last post I headed west along the road. Somewhere along the way, on the left side was pile of rocks I was able to destroy with a bomb. Underneath was a stone with a Korok underneath that.

I'm glad I didn't have any fights with Guardians this time. After the last time I had to warp to the Korok Forest to sleep and replenish my health because I was not in good condition after dealing with three Guardians.

After uncovering the Korok I waited until I recharged Revali's Gale and Daruk's Protection. The flying Guardian that was here just passed by on its own pattern many many times. It was kinda nice just chilling with the Korok and looking at the machine flying around.

Dear Readers,

I warped over to Katah Chuki Shrine, west of Hyrule Castle Town Ruins. I wanted to focus on this area next.

I immediately had to deal with a Decayed Guardian and a regular Guardian. I smashed them both up with deflections without much trouble. I hiked south towards the road and then east towards the gate. I met another Guardian and almost got killed because my timing was off. I managed to best it in the end though and destroyed it.

The Korok seed I was looking for here was on top of the pillar of the gateway, under a stone.
