I headed north to Hyrule Castle Town Ruins, fully expecting to be targeted, and I was. It was from a decayed Guardian a good ways away. I was going to avoid it but I was looking for the Korok around the front gate so I decided to deflect its laser to smash it up.
It took me ages to find the Korok at the front gate. I even went inside the walls to look for it. Eventually I got fed up and looked up a guide. The guide said the Korok appears when you shoot the shield above the inside of the gate and that the arrows already stuck in the shield were supposed to be a clue. I groaned after all that searching in such a dangerous place but I won't complain too much as it only took another arrow for it to appear.
