Happy New Year! Hope 2017 will be a good one :)
This time we went north around the body of water and navigated our way to Fynn. It was pretty dangerous here with all the soldiers crawling around.
There was a pub on the outskirts, and we got there by hugging the wall outside the north gate, not daring to interact with any of the soldiers. There were regular monsters attacking us here too!
We gave the "Wild Rose" password to the barman and he let us past him through a secret passage. he even said we could have the pub as he was tired of dealing with all the soldiers around.
We followed the passage to a room with a gravely injured Scott. He told us some revelatory things, about Borghen defecting to the evil empire and about his feelings for Hilda, though he asked us to keep that part secret... aw...
He also gave us his ring, which grants us access to a map of the game world! Yay! I quite like the map in this game, especially the north-west and south-easternmost parts as they join up, even though you may not expect them to.
When he died his body vanished and we all bowed our heads. I've played this game before and... yeah there are many sad deaths.
