Dear Readers,
We're a bit braver and more able to travel further now that we have Minwu(and his canoe!), so we rowed across the lake from Altair and headed to Paloom.
From Paloom we had access to a ship! It was just a ferry we couldn't control though and we had to pay a fare as well. After mingling with the people for a bit, we took the ferry to Poft, where we met Cid!
Cid was as cool as I imagined. He didn't think much of the Dreadnought when we asked him about it. He granted us access to his airship, but again we couldn't control it — we could only go from town to town for a fee.
Unlike the first Final Fantasy, vehicular travel in this game is commoditised! Shucks! Then again, we have the canoe I suppose.
We took his airship to Bafsk. This was where the Dreadnought was being built. The place was crawling with imperial soldiers and one of them was blocking a passage to somewhere. We left promptly on foot.
After some walking, we finally reached Salamand in the north and met Josef.
