It's possible for nice things to come out of April Fool's Day. A pretend product can be announced for example and then so many people wish for it to be true that it ends up being made anyway. There you go! Marketing tactic!
This year, Google Maps had a Ms. Pac-Man icon you could click to adapt a street network into a dot munching maze. I gave it a go!
It ran very smoothly and the ghosts were really aggressive. it had the usual fruit bonuses and power pellets as well. Most sound effects were from Ms. Pac-Man so it was a very nice adaptation. I cleared a few screens and played casually enough to get a score of 19,130 points.
It is pretty strange to see diagonally oriented lines and round bends in the maze from some streets, but it was fun and fresh and nicely done! Some dead ends from cul de sacs too!
