Dear Readers,
Another boss encounter with Susie! She made another dramatic entrance by singing about her favourite evil alien corporation. Then she revealed her latest invention, a big purple clone of King Dedede!
It had the standard King Dedede attack pattern, but after a while it split into three smaller Dededes! They were much more difficult to handle at this point. All at once at least. After whittling them down to size, they ganged up together to control a great big cannon.
We were all at the top of a building at this stage and the cannon itself went along this path that was lit on the ground, so that was handy to follow. Pretty neat the way the path goes into the foreground and background too. It shot lasers, fire and other things at me. I was able to stay ahead and eventually defeated it.
Afterwards, the cannon exploded, flinging the three Dedede clones into the cityscape sky before they all exploded one by one, each leaving a big "D" after them! Nice touch!
The last leg of the giant alien ship was now finally destroyed, so I finally had access to the interior of the ship itself.
Next time though, it's on to 5-7 EX!
