World 1-A has lots of pipes and some good opportunities for milking coins.
One section has a coin ring and stacks of Goombas. good to just butt stomp the Goombas and cancel the stop by pressing UP before stepping off screen and repeating the process.
Just before the end of level flag are several pipes coming out of a platform in all directions. I like to shoot the top left corner that takes out a bunch of Piranha Plants at once, then go down the pipe to the left of that platform, come out and repeat the process. I got 1,057 coins but I could get more.
