Public transport services came back so I decided to head out and look at the damage caused by Ophelia. It was no longer a category 3 hurricane by the time it got to us, but it still did a lot of damage, especially to trees. While commuting I played Meta Knightmare Returns again to improve on my times and for fun.
I'm not sure why we keep so many trees on our roadsides. Three people lost their lives, all due to falling trees. In any case I don't think we had hurricane-like weather in mind. I saw so many broken branches and felled trees around. Lots of tree surgery and cleanup going on too.
As Meta Knight, I played through the first two levels of the game, but at a much quicker pace. It's great fun to do this! Tearing through enemies, using the speed boost and everything. We could've done with him clearing trees out of the way!
The first level has fun train sections and the second level has fun city and casino sections. I still love being able to stop the Waddle Dee motorists without having to get in a Robobot Armour suit. On the day of the storm I still saw people driving outside, the crazies...
I finished Lv1 in 09:46.82 and Lv2 in 11:17.07, beating my previous times as well as my StreetPassers' times :)
